First, I went to Wal-Mart. I hate Wal-Mart, as I've mentioned, but last time I went I was able to use my Stayfree coupons and my Nivea coupons for overage.
Well, my luck ran out and the extraordinarily bitchy and unfriendly cashier adjusted all my coupons down. I still got the stuff for free, but no overage. Which is fine, but that just goes to show you that Wal-Mart makes their own rules whenever they feel like it. Also annoying is the fact that they will get reimbursed for the full value of that coupon, so they are making money off me twice. Not cool. No more Wal-Mart for me.
Anyway, here is what I got today:
-4 Gallons water
-3 Loaves of bakery bread from the reduced bread rack ($0.56 each)
-1 Nivea bodywash
-4 Carefree Pantyliners
-1 Box of Donut holes (reduced bakery rack)
-2 bags of Lays chips
-4 Kraft Mac and Cheese (clearance $0.50 each)
-Fruit stripe gum (clearance)
-2 Lays Stax
-Chocolate syrup
-Large eggs
-Sargento Provolone cheese
-2 Pantene Beautiful Lengths conditioner (clearance for $1.75 each)
-Great value brown rice (clearance $0.40)
-Ritz Munchables
Total was $26.04 because the bitchy cashier reduced the values of all my coupons. Rude.
Then I went across the street to CVS:
I only got these two conditioners and a pack of two medical batteries, which my husband needed for his car remotes.
Total was $11.25 (after I used my coupons and ECB) and I got $2 ECB's back.
After that I was off to Kroger:
-Head of lettuce
-4 Gallons Kroger water
-Pert Plus
-Johnson and Johnson Baby Powder
-Bakery Buns
-Kroger Toilet paper
-5.54lbs of Boneless, skinless chicken breast
-2 Kroger ice cream
-2lbs. Great value cookies
-4 Kraft Mac and Cheese ($0.36 each after coupons)
-Carl Budding Ham
-Carl Budding Turkey
-10 Mahatma rice
-Finish dishwashing system
-Barbasol
-3 Buddy bars
-4 Nature Valley Granola bars
-2 boxes of Quaker Oatmeal (on sale for $1.59 each and I had $1/2 coupon)
-2 Nestle candy bars (on sale for $0.47 each and I had a $0.75/2 coupon)
-Kroger milk
Total was $66.65. I saved $41.14. I also got a Catalina for $4 off my next order.
Finally(!!!) I went to Food City:
I got only:
-2.32lbs Country Style Ribs
-4.62lbs Ground chuck
My total was: $13.39
Long day. I only went over a $100 by a little. I got a $2 ECB, a $4 Catalina, and $7.64 I'll get reimbursed for via my Health Savings program. I wish I had done better (always) but I didn't do so bad for everything I got. I remember, with sadness, the days I spent $165 at Kroger. For one week.
Total spent: $117.33
Total spent in 2010: $2581.01
Remaining annual balance: $2618.99
