Shoppin' around.

I gave myself a budget of $60 for today. Did I make it?

First I went to Wal-Mart:

As I've mentioned several times, I sort of despise Wal-Mart. However, I had $1/1 24pk. Pepsi coupons, and I knew Wal-Mart had them for $5 each. If I even COULD find them at Kroger or wherever, they wouldn't be $5.

Anyway, I rang them through the self-scanner and the coupons didn't work (shocking). The cashier came over and rang me out, but he for some reason gave me $3 off instead of just $2. I didn't notice until I was in the car. I'm not complaining.

Total spent at Wal-Mart: $7.78

Then I went to Walgreens. I had a 15% off Friends and Family coupon from Facebook. Here's what I got:

-2 Notebooks
-1 Pack highlighters
-3 Dove Men's care (for our service men overseas)
-1 Dove conditioner

I used the 15% off coupon and I had coupons for all the Dove ($1 each). There is also a $0.50 that I don't recognize and 2 RR for $2 each.

Total spent on this Walgreens trip: $4.73
I recieved $3 back in Register Rewards.

I went to Kroger:

-6 gallons water
-3 Covergirl Eyeshadows (for my daughters Christmas stocking!)
-3 John Morrell Lunchmeat
-Lays stax
-Angus beef patties
-Beef ground chuck
-Tide
-Sympathy card (not shown)
-Buns
-Rolls
-Eggs

Total was $40.71

Then I made one final stop at another Walgreens:

All I got was Pretzel M&M's (yum) and some popcorn. I used the $3 RR I got earlier.

Total: $2.39. I also received another $1 Register Reward.

I came in at $55.61. My savings for today were: $52.17. Not bad!
