Updating my trips

It seems like I've been shopping a lot lately. In reality, I don't think I have, but it sure seems that way. Maybe I'm just tired.

Anyway!

Apparently there is ONE Food Lion in my entire (huge)town. I had to MapQuest it! I saw on A Full Cup that some good deals were coming to town, and I had some coupons to match up. So off I went. I got:
-2 Ritz Munchables
-4 Captain Crunch Cereals (can you believe we were almost out of cereal? Good Lord.)
-6 boxes of Hamburger/Chicken Helper
-12 packs of Kool-Aid (real Kool-Aid! What the heck?)
-2 boxes Ronzoni pasta
-1 bag of Flour
-1 Taco Bell Dinner Kit
-2 big packs of ground beef
-2 bags baby carrots
-4 packages Banquet sausages
-6 boxes Lean Pockets
-2 bags Ore Ida potatoes

My total was $50.19. According to my receipt I saved $44.64, which seems about right.

I really liked the Food Lion in my town. It's not really that far out of the way. I would certainly go back if they have other good deals, but I'm not sure I would do my weekly shopping there. I didn't check the prices enough to really see if it would be worthwhile.

I did a quick trip to Kroger during work on Friday the 1st.

I got:
-4 Mahatma Rice
-4 Idahoan Potatoes
-2 Betty Crocker Potatoes
-4 Barilla Pasta
-2 Krusteaz Pancake Mix
-1 3pk. Kroger Yeast

I spent $10.46 and got back 2 $1 Catalinas (Idahoan Potatoes and Krusteaz Pancake Mix). I saved $11.11.

I went back to Kroger later that day (after Food Lion).

I won't type it all out, but I spent $40.91 this time. I saved $26.74, so only about 41 percent. Not my best trip, but not bad.

Another small Kroger trip:
-4 Nestle TollHouse cookies
-4 Lean pockets
-2 Kraft BBQ Sauce

$6.96. Yep. $1.06 of that was tax. I saved $17.44.

Totally forgot water and soda so I had to go back and get that.
-6 Kroger water
-4 SmartBalance margarine (all free)
-5 2-liter sodas

Total $10.45

I went to Big Lots and got this stuff:

I spent $19.21.

I spent $27.55 at Kroger after a choral concert. It was still cheaper than eating out.

And finally I spent $63.80 on the 9th at Kroger. Here are some pictures of what I got:

I think this is all. I spent $188.62 so far this month. Not great.

Total spent: $188.62
Total spent in 2010: $4627.17
Remaining annual balance: $572.83
Rebate Money Received: $15
Remaining annual balance with rebates received:$587.83
