Saturday shopping!

My daughter and I got up early today and hit the stores. It was really fun shopping with her. She's really familiar with how I shop and has just come to accept that her mom buys weird quantities of things. I imagine she'll probably shop a lot like me when she gets older.

Our first stop was Ingles.

I didn't get a whole lot there, as you can see. I mainly went just so I could get a good deal on London Broil. It was $2.48/lb, which is a pretty good price.

I got:
-Brown rice
-White rice
-6 Rice-a-Roni
-2 Pasta Roni (free)
-2 Yoplait Smoothies
-3.62lbs London Broil
-4.75lbs Boneless, skinless chicken breast
-1 bag Fritos
-1 bag Cheetos

I spent $32.98 there and saved $32.99. That's pretty cool.

After that we went over to CVS.

I scanned my card at the "Magic Red Machine" and got a 50 cents off coupon for Dove. Since I have two kids I had to get 2. They were $0.89 each. The sodas were still 6/$20. I used my Dove coupon and my $10 ECB and paid $12.99 out of pocket. I also got back another $10 ECB and a $0.89 ECB for the Dove. I saved $21.64, which rocks!

Finally, I went to Kroger:

I got a lot of stuff there. Definitely more than I needed for one week, but that's the point of stockpiling right?

I got:
-2 Pillsbury Toaster Strudel
-Ground pork
-Ground italian sausage
-Link italian sausage
-2 Lean Cuisine Pizzas
-3 Yoplait Smoothies
-1 Kroger Peppermint Ice cream
-12 pack Kroger Mac and Cheese ($0.33 a box!)
-4 Lean Cuisine Market Creations
-2 Hillshire Farms Turkey breast
-1 Hillshire Farms Honey Ham
-6 Green Giant Valley Steamers
-Ground beef
-2 Tombstone Pizzas
-4 boxes Cinnamon Burst Cheerios ($1.37 each after coupons/promotion)
-1 gallon Skim Milk
-2 Kroger Probiotics vitamins
-1 Kroger BBQ sauce (we are totally OUT of BBQ! I can't believe it!)
-8 Pure Protein bars
-1 Worcestershire sauce
-1 Weight Watchers Ice cream bar
-Sliced provolone
-Reduced bakery coffeecake
-1 bag Kroger sugar

I spent $89.17. I think the cashier missed one of my coupons, but I'm not going to stress over it. I saved $69.57 or about 46%. The only things I didn't get that I need are some buns for sandwiches and water. I couldn't believe it, but Kroger was COMPLETELY out of Crystal Springs water. Blew my mind!

Overall, even though I a little more than I hoped, I think it was a great shopping day.
