Still keeping up!

It's President's Day so I am (thankfully) off work. I went shopping with my favorite (only) daughter this morning and wow, did I get worn out! Here is what I got today:

First stop: Food Lion

I thought Food Lion would be a big bust. I couldn't find the chicken breast which was supposed to be on sale and I couldn't find the London Broil which was buy one get one free. But I still ended up getting some good values. Lots of marked down meat! Hurray!
-4 cans Food Lion corn
-4 Duncan Heinz cake mixes
-2 Food Lion green beans
-2 Snickers Square (not pictured...they were in my purse and I tossed them in the freezer. They were free!)
-2 packs Beef back ribs
-3 packs Ground beef
-1 pack boneless beef (stew beef)
-2.13lbs bananas
-8lbs oranges

I almost forgot to hand them my MVP card. I'm really glad I did, my total went WAY down afterward.

Total spent $34.32. I didn't save much, if you look at coupon values, but all the meat was on markdown, so I think I did fine. The cakes were BOGO and so were the canned veggies.

Then I went on to CVS. I didn't get much there either:


I thought Diet Dr. Pepper was on sale. Too bad. These were on sale 3/$10. I had a $5 ECB so I paid $5.77 out of pocket and got a $3 ECB back.

Total: $5.77

I crossed the road to go to Kroger:

I knew I was going to a second Kroger and my car was full of recycling so I just got a few of the things I wanted here.
-4 Betty Crocker cookie mix
-3 Betty Crocker Supreme Brownies
-1 Betty Crocker Dessert bar
-2 lbs baby carrots
-2 Kraft BBQ sauce
-2 Gilette Body Wash

The Body wash was on clearance for $2.50 and I had $2/1 coupons, so I went ahead and got it, even though my husband isn't out. I had a $3 Daytona coupon, and you can only use 1 per order now, so I was trying to get maximize my dollars. I had coupons for everything except for the carrots, but they were only $1 a bag.

Total spent $8.56. I also got back a $3 Catalina. And I saved $24.20!

I won't type out everything I got, but as you can see I'm still focusing on the Daytona deals. I'm trying really hard to build my stockpile and it's going pretty well!

I spent $71.33 and saved $61.98. I got $9 in Catalina's back.
