I have food.

It's Friday and there is food in my house.

I haven't even opened the 10lb package of chicken. There are still at least two packs of boneless, skinless chicken breast in the freezer. There is a pound of ground beef. There is an unopened gallon of milk and plenty of soda and water in the fridge and half a loaf of bread on the counter. A whole box of Cheerios. Lunches for tomorrow. A completely unopened bag of chips in the cupboard.

I have food. I have pasta and rice and oatmeal. Ketchup and syrup. Enough food, probably, to last a week without trying all that hard.

And tomorrow, I pick up my AngelFood. Which should be plenty to last the rest of the month.

I'll have to pick up some lunch meat for sandwiches and we'll probably need some water, sugar, and a few other small things. But I think we'll stay on budget for January.

I'm ridiculously excited about that. RIDICULOUSLY.
