Anyway. Here is what I got at Wal-Mart:
-2 bags of Baked Lays
-2 bags of Riceworks chips
-4 Met-Rx bars (I had buy one get one free coupons, so I got the four for $3.36 or 84 cents each. Not bad for a breakfast!)
-3 Lays Stax (cheaper here than at Kroger)
-Suave 3 in 1 for men (actually for my son)
-Rice ($1.58 and I had a 75 cents off coupon)
-Sensor Excel ($10.47 for five little blades! Highway robbery!)
-Johnson's baby powder
I had several coupons but my total was still $35.51. Gag.
Then, I went to Kroger. They are having a $3/10 sale this week so I very carefully planned my purchases there. Here's what I got:
-5 Kraft BBQ sauces (final price was 69 cents each. This is an AMAZING price! It's been $1.59 each for MONTHS. I'm definately going to get more this week!)
-6 Hungry Jack pancake mixes (had 2 Buy 2 get one free coupons so the final price was 66 cents each)
-Chocolate cheerios ($2.39 plus I had a 75 cents off coupon so the final price was $1.64)
-Country Crock ($1.69, plus I had a 50 cents off coupon which was doubled so it was 69 cents!)
--Betty Crocker Muffin Mix
-Betty Crocker frosting (favorite buy! I ended up spending 9 cents on this after the Cellfire coupon and 50 cent coupon I had which was doubled)
-2 Grands biscuits (these were 99 cents each on the sale, plus I had a Shortcuts coupon for 30 cents off and an additional paper coupon for 30 cents off, which was doubled. Final cost 54 cents each!)
Total spent: $12.91. I saved 56%!
Final stop: Big Lots.
I went in for sandwich bags, toilet paper and paper towels. I got that, and a bit more. I also got:
-Five pack Act II popcorn (only $1.60!)
-2 packs of bagels ($1 each!)
-Sandwich thins ($1! These are AT LEAST $2.50 at the grocery store)
The paper towels were 63 cents a roll which way cheaper than I can get at the grocery store or even Wal-Mart. The toilet paper worked out to 33 cents a roll and it's a good name brand. Hopefully it will last a while. We weren't totally out of either toilet paper or paper towels, but I didn't want to run out either!
Total spent at Big Lots: $16.98
Total spending for the day: $65.40
I think I will probably go over my budget this week. If I do, I really won't feel bad because I will pick up my AngelFood on the 20th. It's already paid for and I'm getting a bunch of stuff. I'm learning how to stock up effectively and I'm going to have to build the stockpile if I'm going to work off of it.
Total spent today: $65.40
Total spent in 2010: $704.13
Remaining annual balance: $4495.87
