Stockpiling.

I read a really interesting article today about how when people first start stockpiling, they don't really see a huge change in their grocery bills. At first, you have to build up what you have so then you can live off of it. Even with coupons, that takes money.

I can't tell you how happy I am to open up my cabinet and see 9 boxes of Ritz Crackers lining the shelf (we've already eaten one whole box...I told you were were some Ritz loving people!). I've got five bottles of barbecue sauce. I'm going to have more by the time this week is over. I have seven bags of frozen veggies in my freezer. I probably would have had more if I had more room! I have maybe 13 frozen dinners still remaining in my freezer too...and I eat them every day.

I need to get better at toiletries. I've been afraid of Walgreens and CVS. I figured I'd start small and work my way up. I've got to figure out how it all works first. I'm close to being ready I think, but I'm not quite there.

I still think I'm going to be okay with my overall annual budget, but these first few months are going to be more spendy than I had planned. I think.
