The month is only 1/2 over and I'm already over!

I just apparently suck at this. I wanted to stay under $300 this month and as of today I'm already over. I'm still stockpiling (my cabinet is so full of cornbread mix I can barely shut it), but I'm incredibly frustrated with myself right now.






Here is what I got today. It was actually a good trip and I was pretty happy until I realized I was over for the month!

-4 gallons Kroger water
-1 Kashi Heart-to-Heart cereal (free!)
-8 boxes of Ronzoni pasta (.75 each and I had four $1/2 coupons. Final cost .25 each! Unbelievably good price for these)
-4 Sargento Shredded cheese (.99 each and I had 2 .50/2 coupons. Final cost .49 each!)
-4 Kraft shredded cheese (.99 each and I had 2 $1/2 coupons. Final cost .49 each!)
-8 Martha White Cornbread mix
-2 Birds Eye Spring vegetables
-1 Sliced Kroger Deli Provolone
-1 Lady Speed stick (free after coupon)
-12 pk. Big K Citrus
-1 Kroger chips
-1 Tostitos
-1 Betty Crocker chocolate frosting (.50 after coupon)

-2 Pace Salsa ($1.79 each after coupons)
-1 Kelloggs Corn Pops ($1.57 after coupons for a huge box!)
-2 Johnson and Johnson Baby Powder
-1 gallon Kroger Skim Milk
-1 Lays Stax
-1 Edy's Ice cream
-1 Kelloggs Fruit Loops (also $1.57 after coupons!)
-1 Pert Plus
-1 Kroger Maple Syrup

I probably would have stayed under $100 if I had not bought the roses, cards, candy, and soy milk. I bought the roses for my sister. It's her birthday. One card was also for her and the other was for my nephew for his birthday. The candy I will use in baking (even though I didn't NEED it) and the soy milk I had a coupon for. I had coupons for almost everything I bought. But still.

I saved 50% today, $100.56.
