I was asked to contribute to a baby gift. The requestor suggested we all give things like diapers, wipes, and baby food. I was so excited to get to give a cheap gift that won't look like a cheap gift at all.
I had a few coupons which were expiring and (shockingly) we were getting low on water, so here's what I picked up:
-2 gallons water
-2 Purex Detergent (I'm swimming in detergent I know, but I had a Buy One Get One Free coupon so I picked up two detergents for $3.99. Not bad!)
-2 Pampers wipes
-1 Betty Crocker mashed potatoes (67 cents on sale, minus a 40 cents Shortcuts coupon and a 40 cents paper coupon which doubled means I had a 53 cent overage for buying these!)
-3 Buddy bars
-1 Pillsbury Grands ($1.39 and I had a $1/1 coupon)
-3 Crush sodas
-Plastic Sandwich bags
-1 Pillsbury cookies ($2 and I had a $1/1 coupon)
-Green Giant Valley Steamer ($1.28 and I had a 50 cents off coupon which doubled)
-6 Snickers bars (29 cents each after coupons)
I saved $23.28 and spent $18.22.
Total spent today: $18.22
Total spent in 2010: $1163.11
Remaining annual balance: $4036.89
