My first stop was CVS.
I really hate the CVS closest to my house. They don't have anything marked correctly and they aren't particularly friendly. Not unfriendly, but not friendly either.
Here's what I got:
-2 Pantene Conditioners (2/$6.97)
-Claritin (thank you Jesus. It was $9.99)
-2 Fresh Kiwi Shampoos (both FREE after coupons)
-2 Clearasil products for my daughter ($8.99 each, yikes)
I used:
-2 $1.50/1 coupons for Clearasil
-2 CVS coupons for $1 off shampoo (the shampoo was actually only 99 cents, so I made two cents. Ha!)
-1 $2 off Claritin coupon
-$4.99 Extra Care Buck
-$5 Extra Care Buck
I forgot to use my Pantene Coupon. Grr! That would have saved me another $1.
My total was $23.16. My reciept says I saved $20.50. I also received back $11 more dollars in Extra Care Bucks.
Then I ran across the street to Walgreens. Not much there:
Diet Pepsi! REAL soda! Joy of all joys!
These were on sale for $3 each. I had two Register Rewards, one for $2 and one for $5. My total out-of-pocket today was $5.93. I also received a $3 Register Reward. So basically I paid $2.93 for FOUR 12-packs of Diet Pepsi. Crazy!
Finally, I went to Wal-Mart, which I hate, but I wanted to use the rest of my Nivea for women bodywash coupons and we needed water. Here's what I got there:
-8 gallons of water (.88 each)
-3 Nivea Body Wash ($3.97 each)
-2 Carefree Pantyliner (.94 each)
I used:
-3 $4/1 Nivea Bodywash
-2 $1/1 Carefree Product
They gave me the overage. I got all that bodywash and those pads for FREE.
My total at Wal-Mart was $8.66.
I'm still getting the hang of CVS, but I think I'm getting better. I'm going to use my Extra Care bucks next week to buy more Diet Pepsi. I love getting cheap soda.
Total spent: $37.75
Total spent in 2010: $2392.10
Remaining annual balance: $2807.90
